Good question. Also...... If the embargo was lifted, how much of the hundreds of millions of dollars would go to the people, and how much would go for weapon systems?

Cuba's a good example of an embargo working. It didn't get rid of that weasel Castro, but it did stop Castro from exporting terrorism and subversive activities around the world. If Castro had the money, you can be sure that his goons would have infiltrated more countries and caused more destruction.

I hope that I wake up tomorrow and hear that the bombs have already pulverized Saddam's billion dollar palaces.
