I feel very contrarian towards Nortel - Please short it for me. This is a company that lost just under 250 million in the quarter, and just under 3.6 billion for the year. Their balance sheet still sucks from a receivables standpoint, and they are promising to be profitable on a pro-forma basis - what a crock. The average trade today was just 308 shares - this tells you that the little guy is back into nortel and about to get his brains blown out again. Do lemmings never learn? The two major holders of NT are BMO and Fidelity - at least they were at the end of September. In that report they had added 46 million shares to their holdings - bet they don't have them any more !!!

I think they have more law suits pending against them than they lost money in the last quarter. I also think that the exchanges and security commissions should look into the executives that took huge bonuses while the company crumbled, and the compensation committees that allowed it. Except for YBM, possibly the worst example of corporate governance by a board of fools in Canadian history.

And no I never had a dime invested in NT and never will.

Thanks - by the way I hope I am wrong - for the little guys sake.

Mark
