SEOD; re: Urban Warfare. 1. We have no choice. We must and we most certainly WILL go physcially into Iraq to occupy Baghdad and set up and support a new Government. We will also maintain a longterm (decade+ if not permanent) presence in the Iraqi Oil fields. - again; I do not think the average citizen fathoms the level of non-public intelligence that Bush is moving on and the degree of threat that the Free World & America faces from this growing plague of organized Global Terrorism. Bush knows the reality of the threat and how close that threat is to taking action at unprecedented levels... and that's why we are doing what we're doing....because unless we want multiple Sept 11th level events - or worse; we have no choice, but to act. 2. I also think that the Iraqi people are going to act like the Iraqi Army did in the first Gulf War... they'll throw down their arms and repudiate Saddam en-masse and welcome his over-throw and a return to freedom and a new opportunity at peace & prosperity. - there will NOT be a sustained Urban door to door campaign and even if there is; we have to do it and we will do it. 3. We are going to take longterm physical control of the Iraqi Oil Fields and we are going for Regime Change and the UN will be sustaining a Nation-Building occupying presence in Iraq... and we'll move on to the next target; be it the Saudi's, Iran or Korea, or even a moderate physical presence in the Phillipines & Indonesia; as well as Terrorist strongholds in Africa.
