Peter, You know damn well that King George has been gutting and/or bankrupting domestic programs at an unprecedented rate. And you must be aware that our military expenditure represents approximately 1/2 of what the whole world spends on war. Clearly that is out of whack with ideals that this nation espouses. But it is completely consistent with a heartless regime that would deny its own citizens of a decent life while engaging in outrageous military adventures across the globe. No other nation has its troops stationed in 114 foreign countries. No other nation has twelve aircraft carrier groups to project power across the globe. No other nation comes close to the awesome firepower we muster to intimidate and conquer foreign lands. We are unique, and we are uniquely poised to become the world's most hated enterprise if the "New American Centrury" crowd are not brought to heel. -Ray
