The Rand may have a 5 of C (up) left in it, but the bigger picture is that it appears to be very near the end of its upward correction. It may have a little more strength in it, but then it should weaken again. (Note that "weakness" here is actually up on that chart.)

What if you are looking at a double-three correction instead of a flat? The top for the Rand (bottom on that chart) could already be in.

I agree that the miners could use a little pause, and one last burst of Rand strength could do it, but if Rand weakness reasserts at all, and POG holds steady in US, then Rand POG could finally move to new highs. I think it's coming.

I reiterate: gold (and commodities in general) is the ONLY major investment vehicle that has a decent probability of being in a long-term bull market here.
