Have the Iraqis asked a present day Lafayette to come to Iraq and overthrow Saddam?

You bet!!! Most of them are exiles who fled Iraq to keep from being killed by Saddam..

But they are STILL Iraqis...

And I don't care whether it's Lukoil or any other Russian oil company.. The fact remains that Saddam is in debt to Russia for some $7 billion... And that amounts to 7 billion reasons why the Russians would rather have him in power than anyone else.

And the French sold Saddam over $1.5 Billion in goods over the past several years.. That's 1.5 Billion reasons for them to keep him in power...

Because the minute he is gone, those debts can be canceled by the new government..
