Over time they should be a “significant contributor” to revenue as their incremental cost is not high. Regarding prior Qualcomm chipset sales to Vodafone, I believe they only operate GSM networks and therefore would not have had phones with Qualcomm chipsets. ( Except for their joint ventures- JPhone in Japan and VZN wireless)

More on the Bloomberg link. On the question of GSM 1x trial, TT wouldn't divlulge the "mystery" carrier although he did say it was a current GSM carrier who wasn't interested in going the WCDMA route. I found that a very interesting comment. That was interesting. I heard it slightly differently. I heard him mentions that there were others besides the one trial and these were GSM carrier s that weren't committed to the WCDMA route. It would be interesting to make a list of who these might be. Who is most committed? DoCoMo ATT T-Mobile Hutchison Most European Carriers Who is less committed? Vod? Cingular? China Mobile? Others?
