true, however consider the weapons. personally, i think it is time to take a step back. Once nuclear is used, (particularly today's capacity of the arsenal at hand), it is current game is over and truly we will start from base zero.

In the end, what I believe what we all have to do is act in way that is beneficial to our own self interest *and* to expect others to do the same. (again, on both the micro and macro levels). Instead of presenting our actions as altruistic, we should be plain about it the fact that anything we do is for our benefit. And other countries should understand that, if they receive foreign aid or protection or whatever from the U.S., that it comes with a price. And if they are not willing to pay that price, to not accept whatever is being offered.

i agree 100 %.

now, let's see if this mind set is implemented, starting with the US, as I said earlier, no more Somozas, Noriegas and the like. all exchange value for value.

then again, i doubt we are at the stage of "changing" from either side, so best is to attempt for survival.
