I saw that on TV, Nadine. It was really horrible. I hope he isn't one of our guys. But really, no matter who he was, it was awful. They should have said he was a scientist, wishing to talk and then saved him. What a mess. Rascal@ hateit.com

It is my understanding of 1441 that if some Iraki makes it into a UN car, the UN driver will not spend his time looking the other window while the police slowly drags him away. A breach of humanity, at least. Unless those UN people just didn't want to hear what he had to say ? Too bad he didn't handcuff himself to the UN car or to the guy...

The UN inspectors just turned over a would-be Iraqi defector who approached them crying, "Save me!" to the Iraqi police. I think it's safe to say we can refer to that gentleman in the past tense... Derek

Nadine, the USA should say, "We believe the guy saying "save me" may have had material information on weapons of mass destruction or other illegal activity. Hand him over to the UN in one piece tomorrow morning by 9 am or it's all over Rover for Saddam. Regime change begins at midday. There will not be a retirement for Saddam". He certainly looked like a refugee to me. Near enough that he was worth checking out. Now Saddam has got him. Make a federal case out of it. Mqurice
