IMO. Islam wants this technology to destroy us, we have this technology to protect ourselves. I just don't think that the majority of islamic thinking as it is today fits into the modern world. But I agree with you that education is the cure for islam, at least the only sensible cure I can think of. I had never really thought of what was required to operate an aircraft carrier....It is really amazing when you think of it.
