Yes, but I suppose it could have simply been 'time for a depression' regardless of what else might have been happening.

Now you see that I am not particular about what causes a depression or financial storm, just fussy about how to survive one.

Or maybe it's just one 'thing' that can cause depressions. The only thing one can say for sure is that the above statement is NOT indeed a fact. There is no scientific proof as we all know.
