Why kill innocents en masse?

Where exactly did I mention that I supported that?

Let's come up with a hypothetical for you though.

Let's say that an evil man forces another man to attack your family and try to kill them. Now, this other man that is attacking your family is basically a good guy, he simply doesn't have a choice because the evil man is forcing him to try to kill your family, but the only way to stop him is with lethal force. Since he is basically a good guy, an innocent, do you let him kill your family or do you use the lethal force to protect your family?
