on the subject of NoAds

i just had to uninstall and reinstall the software because it basically became corrupted from all of the new additions i was feeding to it. i got to a website that was hitting me with a barrage of pop ups, aggressively telling me to download their software, and no matter what i clicked, it kept giving me new dialogs to download a program.

i was telling NoAds to block all kinds of stuff!

the result was i lost some browser functionality (opening links in new windows stopped working, regardless of advanced settings), and CNN poll results wouldn't pop up... it all just got real sticky and funky.

after using the NoAds uninstall, a good half dozen files were left in the folder, including my old settings. i made sure to delete those files.

upon reinstalling and updating a new copy of NoAds, all is well again.

:)
