then give the money back. just write a check and pay more than the taxes owed. apparently, you just need to enter a zero for the amounts you want refunded or applied to the next year's taxes.

stimulating consumption makes no sense when you're running a trade deficit as large as they are. the feedback from the stimulus to job creation is bound to be muted by the import of goods. but then a negative income tax bracket makes even less sense and we have those too.

KT, tax cuts are insignificant in the big picture. The seeds of this bust were sown long ago and the excesses are so great and the economy so out of balance that monetary & fiscal policy can do little at this point. It's pay back time and its going to be a bitch. Mike
