the over-arching problem here, one that we are all being slow to realize and admit, is that we (the US) are OVER; Asia is ascendant now, and we are in structural decay. and frankly, there's nothing Bush or Daschale or Trader Bob Rubin or Franklin Raines or you or I can farking do about it.

I can't speak for Trader Bob or FranklinStein....but what I can do it is buy loads of poots on FNM, MBI and C!<NFG>

Reap, I disagree about us being over. We are still the most innovative nation on Earth and the same was said in the 80s about how Japan would own the USA. But we are over for the near to intermediate term. Da debt has to go before we really start growing again. Individual, corporate, local, state and Federal.
