Too bad. It reduces my respect for him.

Well, we all have our good days and our not-so-good days. Today's column is a bit more the latter and less of the former.

I think he's right to write a column on the critical character of the aftermath; but I thought he needed, given the structure of the argument and the column, to spend more time on the transition spotted between those two paragraphs. I genuinely don't know where he would come down.

Lindy,

The fact that his Tuesday column was so much tighter than today's column speaks volumes. His 'case for war' column is argued tightly, his 'risk of war' column is argued poorly.

Uhmmmm, maybe he thinks one argument is stronger than the other. He is trying to put on a face of balance but his heart is not there.
