DJ, sorry but most of the time I don't understand what you are talking about. I gather that the tongue is in the cheek but that seems to interfere with the clarity. For example, you brought up Wannsee and the Final Solution, not me.

Either Jay knew that China did not suffer much from the Great Depression because it wasn't on the gold standard, or he didn't. I already knew about his illustrious family.

Given the fixation on gold these days, China's experience on the silver standard an interesting factoid.

And it bolsters my argument that the stock market crashing did not cause the Great Depression.

I think we all agree that bad loans and bad monetary policy were more to blame, but what we disagree on is what effect gold had.
