"raw nineteenth century capitalism" Sounds like the "Rugged Individualism" term that people use when they want to "bad mouth" Capitalism. There is no "Nice" way to change a society. Some lose short term when you go to free markets, but everybody wins long term. It still sounds to me like she wrote a book to point out the down side of growth, without any solution as to how you could do it a different way. That is because no other way has ever been found. As I said, the "Anti-Globalization" Socialists will use the book to pound on Free Markets.
