I think whatever fall we get from here will be quick and hard. I do not like all of the QQQ puts for February. It is a very clear signal to be nimble on the short side as they will take this market up and up fast.

I would love for the Naz to fall to 1230 or so, which is where we have a nice gap, but I just do not see it in the cards. I think playing a max pain rally will be quite profitable this month.

yes, I think the best match is the obvious one, January 02.

Truth is that isn't so dissimilar to what I outlined. The next 6 weeks off of this period in Jan 02 did bring a lower low a few weeks our and then hard rally. So, all 3 scenarios lead to higher highs out several weeks but a bad sell off first. I think that could well happen. New lows would then come after those gyrations.
