Hey folks, howz 'bout a song that I wrote--lol! There are many in America who feel this way, but many more who feel this way outside of America. In the World Say you haven't got very much Can't even see what you want to touch And all you need is but a little luck To get the feelin' you are not stuck --In the world! Uncertain steps you leave behind you You walk in hope that luck will find you And all along you're seen to care The gift of life it must be fair --In the world. When you see those cadillacs You think of all the things you lack You wish you were not poor Wish you had a little more --In the world! And when you know what's been denied You get so sad it makes you cry You get so mad you don't even try It gets so bad you just want to hide --In the world! Why the generals statued in the parks Have the poets all missed their mark 'Tis young soldiers dying young And the poetry unread --In the world!
