A decent, timely question.

But I'm not holding my breath that it'll be satisfied. ;-)

There are some good conservative posters here, but it's the namecalling loudmouths who've prevailed over them more recently.

I believe your point of view is skewing your judgement.

Re: I think I speak for the thread when I say that intelligent, reasoned, supported defenses of GWB would be welcomed.

I think intelligent, reasoned supported defenses of GWB would be astonishing, not to mention incredible. In both senses of the word.

Re: right now Bush's supporters are not looking so good

You, sir, are a master of understatement.

Mighty wide brush there.

re:"Are here any Bush supporters out there who can successfully argue Bush's point of view without:

A) Calling names
B) Drooling on the keyboard
C) Evoking either Clinton"

think I speak for the thread when I say

WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU SPEAK FOR THE THREAD???

you come here years after the thread was started, carping the same as any other Demoscrap. You come here sucking up to everything RAYDUH says, and then you say you speak for the thread? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

People have been here a LONG time defending President Bush from the likes of you and a hundred other copycat, goosestepping Demos. But now YOU speak for the thread??...

get a grip, munchycat. Go to your civil war thread and THEN you can speak for the thread...

Go back and check how many times folks have posted the nonsense that Bush has squandered Clinton's surpluses. Do you think it is off topic to point out that there never was a surplus during Clinton's administration?

Clinton keeps coming up because

a. the socialists here keep bringing him up.
b. Clinton keeps shooting his mouth off.

And after you have pointed out the truth about, oh I don't know, 200 times, do you think you may be temped to use a name or two in your response?

But stupid people never ever see intelligent, reasoned, supported proffers of the clear genius of leadership of PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH

But stupid people never ever see the relative abject stupidity or mr. bill. The myopic position it's just about sex is so stupid.

In the big league only the truly stupid give their enemies the rope to hang them with. It was only sex and a rope for those to hang the stupidest that ever was who created it. The twine of consenting sex became a rope by stupid lies.

If you create no twine, then no lie would ever make it a rope.

Mr. bill was being sued as a sex pervert. Under such a cloud consenting sex with a little intern was really really really stupid. If exposed it had to be lied about. If the lie was exposed the rope became a noose. Holy DNA batman.

The above rational is obvious to any who are not dumber than a bag of hammers.

Only an idiot would call the above reasoning name calling.

Clintons decisions in his private life in public office are the truest example of the perfect storm of stupidity.

Leading to the conclusion that it's all about character stupid.
