Look at the first definition given for both words. The fact or quality of being diverse; difference. The condition or fact of being unequal, as in age, rank, or degree; difference: You wil note that both summarize their explanation in one word DIFFERENCE Both words mean to have a difference. And you can interchange both words in each sentence they are used in. You can say "charles Darwin saw diversity" or you could say Charles Darwin saw disparity" either way means a difference. Lawyers and doctors make 5 times as much as truck drivers. Do you mean less than 80% difference then. How do you quantitate that word minimize. Exactly how much of the differences were caused by racism, as opposed to other natural differences and prejudices. And if you can't give a quantitative explanation of just exactly what you mean, how can you possibly design equitable AA programs, if you have no idea how much should be corrected. People much more expert in these subjects long ago concluded that discrimination results in a difference in social status, income, and standard of living. And if asked, I would bet every one of these experts would also say, the differences could be caused by other factors. Yes, racism causes income differentials; so what, a lot of things cause differences, racism is only one of them. There is no link to the Constitution.......you either understand the concept or you don't. The concept I understand is that if it isn't in the constitution, the federal gov. can't do it. Another is that having even wages for all is a form of socialism, not capitalism. All this is is another attempt by the liberals to shove socialism down our throats.
