The simple fact is we will not be "choosing to go it alone".

It will be interesting to see who will be choosing to go with us, and even more interesting to see who will share the cost. We’re talking about a $300 billion tax cut, a deficit cap, and an extremely expensive war and occupation. There is little or no talk of who, other than the American taxpayer, will pay the bill. Iraqi oil certainly won’t pay it: it will take years and billions of dollars to bring production up to a level that will cover immediate Iraqi needs.

None of this bodes well for America’s fiscal situation.
