This, as well as your previous post, deserve a serious, considered response.

I do not have time right now to do so, but plan on starting a Civil War thread and will hopefully answer you then and there.

Yes. And this is why "state's rights" is such lark. The South didn't care about state's rights until they lost control of the Federal government. They sure didn't mind dictating to the Northern states when the South was in power.
