Patrick strode on to the interior, repeating the phrase..."y'rrr too funny" ...It struck him that the word itself was odd. 'funny'... what a weird word. I know what it means, thought Patrick. Well, at least I was able to laugh loud and long back at home on the Emerald Isle, when I was alive. Well, yes back at home and before my, gulp, suicide. Now, here I be, among the permutations of the distant void. ... dead as a doornail, ridin' this fine pale horse into desolation wilderness. I am left wondering about my own wanderings. 'Funny,' well of course it is, what it is, hah, 'funny.' Just is, if'n it is, I guess. But what makes things funny? Is bein' dead like this, gonna be funny? Patrick rode for hours remembering some strange interchanges and happenstance in life that brought grins. Gradually some giggles started popping out, as his horse broke into a gallup. D'no he thought again; it isn't the thing itself, its the ideas that conjur along in my head. The pecular idea, the thinkin' about it, and the presence of the actual bizarre stuff in my life....the three happening at once was what made things funny. I'm gonna miss that now that I'm wanderin' and wonderin' among the dead. hmmm wondrin' bout wandrin' he he he...wait a minute, hmmmmmmmm? he he
