Hi George,

To me, there seems to be danger in every alternative at this point, and no one can honestly say what will happen, or even what a possible chain of reactions may be. By this I mean that going into Iraq now may elicit a global turn against us as imperialistic evildoers, or it may not. NOT going into Iraq now may give the inspectors time to uncover those WMDs widely-believed to be there, or it may not. Focusing our sites on Iraq rather than North Korea may be a mistake. or not.

In any event, I've got a sinking feeling about another strike on our shores by al Qaeda. And whether or not there's any action we can take to head it off--in Iraq or elsewhere-- is an unknown. It's a frightening time.
