"It's strange that Symantec chooses to release the defs the way they do" i couldn't agree with you more. it is nuts. but that's what they are doing, and i have been posting on this thread for close to a year now ( #reply-17359962 ) about this dual method of retrieving updates. i quit asking why a long time ago, tc, and i just go get 'em, each day, new ones. "Must be a slow virus period or everyone is working on the SQL worm. AVG hasn't had an update since the 21st" why do you say it's slow? i've gotten updates on the 22nd, the 23rd, the 24th and the 27th, since you got your last one from AVG. it's not a "slow virus period"... it's a case of slow definition creation from AVG.
