The election was as much as a farce as the 2000 election.

Saddam Hussein and terrorists were lumped together in a most unsavory fashion. Bush was all over the country at taxpayer expense telling Americans that he needed more republicans to pass his war schemes. Of course he and his adminisration kept very material information about N-Korea from congress and the American People while the war resolution was being defrauded out of congress.

It cost 900 million dollars in advertising to drag just over a third of the U.S. electorate to the polls. Hence Bush and his garbage heap have the votes of maybe 17-18% of the U.S. electorate. That is mighty thin mandate. And of course Bush's approval rating is collapsing now. America is facing the real ugly prospect of two more years of systematic incompetence.
