If the 6 male cops didn't show up on the scene Rodney King might be dead. The first officer to confront him a woman, when he acted agressivly she probably would have shot him if the other officers didn't take control. Once they took control they where probably going to have to use some violence but at least he didn't get shot. However after using a justified if seemingly extreme level of violence they probably kept it going a bit too long. One look at the video of the R. King beating would show that your last comment is an understatement. ted
