Funny thing is, people who ridiculed strategies like the "Dow Dogs" and the seasonal timing method (i.e. to be invested in stocks during Nov-Apr and to be out of stocks during May-Oct) as "data mining" are now touting the NFC/AFC thing as if it is gospel. These folks are so incorrigibly bullish that they will cling to any straw that floats around. The bear-market shall not end until investors develop respect for the big bear. He is still being treated as the Rodney Dangerfield in the world of investing and that has made him really MAD! Well, when he's finally done, investors will have a healthy mix of fear and respect for the mighty grizzly.
