Brian,re:"why should I have any confidence...". The market is not at the bottom when intelligent question is being posted. MONEY is not a financial tool, it is a political tool. The GOV prints money. The GOV is a political entity. The GOV uses 'MONEY' to control people. The elites, the circle, the conspiracy use money to control everything. With money, the gov can afford to send people to war. Only the stars have fun, the rest are slaves of one kind or other. There are Billions of people will come if you don't follow the rule.
