An excellent question, just how truly representative should a government be?

We obviously have seen and are seeing our representatives take us in directions that seem baffling and which are not readily apparent as being in our best interests.

Then again, if our elected officials' actions were more transparent, we might have a better idea as a people as to what course we wish them to steer for us.

What for, if not to give the representatives some degree of freedom between elections?

Given the pace of new elections--House and a third of the Senate every 2 years--that leaves about 2 weeks.
