Sorry, I was interrupted and had to run off when writing my post and didn't finish my thoughts too well. I should have held off before hitting enter till I could get back online. Now I've merely offended you. Was leading up to inquire whether you had similar experiences of that time? My friends story was very touching - and I probably did a poor job of communicating it. I will add I hope China will make a transition to democracy in the coming decades. As I think it would be best for both that country and the world.
