IMO big short interest in Kinross is a result of arbitrage, not the real short. I'm long Kinross.

Terry, look at the short interest in Kinross over the last 12 months. It was has everything to do with the upcoming merger and very little to do with hedge funds. The numbers I showed were as of mid Jan. They're a little over a week old, but this divergence has been happening for over 1 month now.

I stand by my original post.
