My god, you talking about Charlie Rose, Ken talking about McNeill-Lehrer, what is this, PBS night on FADG? what's next, Lindy gonna start praising Bill Moyers? As for Biden, he's about the best Dem politician on foreign policy out there these days. In retrospect, if you look back at those Iraq hearings he arranged last summer, think how serious-minded and informative they were compared to the vast majority of crap we've heard from both right and left since then... I thought he was sort of a charlatan back in the '88 race, but my impression changed a bit when I read the quite humanizing and flattering profile of him in Richard Ben Cramer's What It Takes (which, by the way, is an extraordinarily good book, perhaps the best study of American politics written in the last few decades). tb@yawn.com
