I was not a huge Bush supporter in 2000 myself. Now I'm pretty solidly behind him, though if it were my choice I would emphasize some things a little differently.

But that doesn't really answer my question. Why did you choose Bush, however reluctantly, over Gore? Given the leaning of nearly every single article I've seen you post here over the past...well, too long...I can't imagine why you wouldn't have voted for Gore. I was curious enough to even check back on Voltaire's Porch during the week of the election and just afterwards, and you were conspicuously silent (there, at least), on either candidate. I didn't bother to check anywhere else, however.

If you were a reluctant supporter of Bush, there must have been something about Gore you felt even greater reluctance about?
