Never fall for a saber rattling. Gold can plummet to earth if all end in pizza.

Back in the 70's I would like to make jokes about a potential nuclear conflict saying the Russians could not make a decent car gearbox and all that they had was a show off produced by a tiny clique of concentrated technical effort.

I also would laiugh that a invading force with 70-ton Russioans tanks couldn't invade the west across Germany since all the bridges there couldn't bear that load!

Anyway the bluff was called up and the real state of the world war was shown to us. Now this saber rattling thing. The troops are there just to earn a bit more of per diem and make the guys in uniform look good and keep getting the 360billion budget. Of course they fire the rockets whose dates have expired to replenish the arsenal.

But to bet that situation will go to stand off is not a very good bet. Gold can plummet to earth if this affair ends in pizza.

Sounds like something that could happen in Manila, but not Beijing ...
