The market wants vendor interoperability while Brocade insists on developing a proprietary system.

Doesn't rhapsody open things up a bit though? I read they have a more standard approach, not quite sure what that means, whether it is open APIs or formats or what. I thought this proprietary vs. standard issue was the entire reason for the rhapsody buy, with rhapsody as a next gen platform. It seems like the internal next phase development failed at brocade, which is common.
