When one considers the things both the French and the Germans are saying about America and our administration, an article that does not show the French in the best light is certainly warranted, if for no other reason than to have some balance. Fred

I love French pastry. As a young boy my grandmother tried to teach me French that she and my grandfather spoke as their first language. She knew prejudice first hand. Her family came from Canada to a three story tenement in northern Rhode Island to find work in the woolen mills for pennies per hour. She began working at 12 years old, young girls were valued because their small hands allowed them to clear the machines when they jammed. She lost one of 6 sons in 1943 in the skies over Europe while my father and his brother returned home safely. You have made your sentiments clear, please be respectful of others.
