Paul, When in grad school i was friendly with a canadian guy. He constantly excoriated the US for racial policies. We were making progress by the late 60s and i got pissed off at him one day. I said, Mel, what about the French Canadians--he said "Dont listen to them, they are subhuman". All depends on whose ox is being gored, i suspect. I always say the sunshine makes Floridians brain dead. Perhaps years of cold, may have the same effect on some canadians? <gg> mike
