e-Smart Files Billion Dollar Suit Against Named and Unnamed Parties
Thursday February 27, 4:51 pm ET

SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- e-Smart Technologies, Inc. (OTC Pink Sheets: ESMT - News; "e-SMART" or the "Company") announced that it has filed the first of an expected series of both state and federal law suits in connection with, among other things, the stream of false and malicious allegations made by certain parties against the Company; its President, Mary Grace; and its System Architect and technology co-inventor, Wayne Drizin.

The initial complaint as filed by e-Smart is against named and unnamed individuals for "Conspiracy to Interfere with Prospective Economic Advantage, Conspiracy to Slander and Defame, Conspiracy to Breach Fiduciary Duties and for Punitive Damages." The Complaint seeks compensatory damages of "not less than one billion dollars" in addition to unspecified "Punitive Damages."

In their first public statements since December 12, 2002, when this matter came to a head, the e-Smart team had the following comments:

Ms. Grace said: "It is a very sad period for the country when a small group of greedy and malicious individuals and companies can spread lies and manipulate individuals in our government to prevent the implementation of a real, better and advanced technology system that can protect our people, our property, our privacy, our civil liberties."

Mr. Tamio Saito (noted inventor, e-Smart's CTO and co-inventor of e- Smart's technology) said: "As witnesses and survivors of 9/11 in New York and Washington D.C., Mary, Wayne and I have been driven by the thousands of sacrificed spirits to protect this country in the best way that we can, by perfecting and installing our biometric smartcard protection system throughout the USA. If our efforts are contaminated, attacked and destroyed by people in positions of power in this country; the only ones who gain are those who threaten our security."

Mr. Drizin added: "We, at e-Smart, will 'leave no stone unturned' in our fight to get the truth about our Company and our products known. We remain dedicated to the protection of our fellow countrymen against identity theft and terrorist infiltration. Any person that thinks that e-Smart doesn't have fully functioning and integrated biometric technology and systems will either be very happily or very sadly mistaken -- happily, if they are on the side of those that want to protect this country in the way it should be protected or sadly if they are among those trying to push inferior products and technologies or trying to manipulate stock prices."

Further details regarding this case will be released once all named parties have been served.
