Ray, all levels of gov't spend too much IMO. I wasn't aware that this was the first time the Federal govt cut aid to the states but i still feel gov't must share the pain with the private sector. Many workers have been pressed to do more for less - gov't should do the same. The gov't workers will get their pensions even if it means tax increase . The private sector must adjust to smaller 401ks - they are on their own. Many residents are facing stiff local property tax increases add to that increases in taxes at the state level. Enough. The governor of CT says his budget must have tax hikes matched with spending cuts - sounds reasonable. mike

Ray, no taxation without representation say I. King George II is quite right to cut my taxes. I have no wish to fund Governor Gray's mad socialist ideas and the dissolute lifestyle of his supporters.

I want my hard-earned money. I vote for King George II and tax cuts. Well, I can't vote, but hope to be freed from enslavement to Governor Gray anyway.

BTW, Te Mana, a New Zealand warship, left for offshore Iraq yesterday. We don't have many, [partly because Governor Gray has been pinching my profits]. Soon, we'll have Iraq entering the civilized world. Which will be excellent for the people of Iraq and the rest of us.

Our Prime Minister, has decided to incline more towards supporting invasion, having been against the idea until Hans and the UN started suggesting that Iraq was not complying with civilized demands.
