Last but not the least, no democratic election in China means that a person like Bush can never become the Chairman (an equal of the President in the US), which is a relief<g>. Since China has a lot of problems and needs a very capable person to lead.<g> Definitely gets a chuckle from me.

I am very busy at work today. Just one thing, you should practice what you preach? I am sensitive to attacks on my president, my government and my political system. I see the >g>s above but i would ask you to refrain from making condescending remarks toward us, just as i am careful to treat you and your native land with respect and understanding. Please dont confuse the political correctness of Rascal or John toward your posts with Respect. I am a student of china. I seek to learn more and you are a valuable person in doing that and i am learining. I respect you as do many of the posters who disagee with you. Some who agree with you are really patronizing you. Because you are from a foreign land they cut you slack you dont need. YOur qualification speak for themselves. Those of us on this thread who express opinions that mirror US policy, represent a vast majority of american opinion in this country. You need to understand ordinary Americans like us a little better too. And one way to begin that is to stop insulting our president. If you saw his speech yesterday, you saw a tortured man, a man forced to action by events he had no control over. Is he right? All of us need to make up our own minds but the insults he receives on this thread from some posters are not productive. I trust that the <g> reference in your posts indicate a wonderful sense of humor on your part. Believe it or not i have one too. As you say, lets agree to disagree. Your friend, Mike
