I didn't mean to discourage you on your short idea. Even the best stocks have good selling opps, and I wouldn't rate BSTE as top o' the line, just one that I like. For example, LLTC is truly a first rate company, but I sold at 34 1/2, have since traded for about $2 profit per share, and bought back some shares a few days ago for a trade. Bad timing, but I'll get out whole.

Speaking of timing, my TVX entry was pretty poor. And the puts that I sold yesterday should have provided some juicy returns, but instead were only enough to offset a portion of the decline in my long positions. Still holding some puts, but wish I'd unloaded everything yesterday to wait for Friday or Monday.

SoU speech was pretty good, imo. But Bush sounded like Santa Claus handing out presents there at the beginning. Where's he gonna come up with money to pay for those gifts? He wouldn't dare print more of it, would he?
