I totally agree with these thoughts too Kirk. When the VIX is low for long periods of time it is ripe for a huge move higher when an unexpected event blind sides the market.

I don't think the market is being blind sided by too much of anything right now. Unfortunately I'm no math whiz so I hope no one looks to me to figuring up an intergral value for the VIX.
