Mephisto, I listened to a portion of it on the radio. What most impressed me was the C-SPAN coverage of the Statuary Garden after the speech. I was disgusted to see the astonishingly heavy-handed presence of uniformed police. It was, in fact, scary and intimidating. Which is precisely the effect that Cheney and his monsters wanted. This year it was massed local police. Next year, after the Muslim world become inflamed because of our imperial provocation, Cheney will bring in the uniformed military police to really assert control over an ever-weakening and intimidated Congress. Plain disgusting and anti-American what this Administration is doing in our name. -Ray
