The only way another attack on US soil, for whatever reason, could work to the Democrats' advantage would be if they frame their position in terms that suggest Bush hasn't gone far enough, hasn't been aggressive or effective enough....in the fight against it. If they try to say: "See, he's just making things worse", that won't fly. It won't stick. They, the American people, will want something done. They won't want to introspect and find scapegoats. If the Democrats try to make Bush the scapegoat for any further attacks, it will backfire on them utterly and completely. It's just not gonna work. Any further attack on US soil will only solidify Bush's support, he will not be blamed, because he has shown he will do something about it.

And that's what the American people will want.
