USD & FUTS are down, perhaps the thought of unilateral engagement is not sitting well in the marketplace

8/31/98, 9/18-9/21/01, and 7/23/02. It didn't always coincide with THE bottom, but it was usually rather indicative of an impending rise. 6/21/01 and 10/9/02 also had high readings (28%, vs. 33% on Monday), so one could have gotten sucked into a long position on 6.21.01. 5/21/01 and 11/25/02 had abnormally high bullish % of 35% or greater, leading me to consider the ensuing high bearish % readings as reactions to irrational exuberance rather than dominant lows. My data go back to 8/98, so we don't have a lot of examples. Don Sew would call these measurements woefully inadequate based on statistical (in)significance.
