Afghanistan was bombed because the Taliban government openly harbored the Al Qaida leadership. Personally I think OBL is dead. IMO, that was a joke. Bin Laden's crew and prolly he himself were in the air corridor opened to Pakistan. There's more going on than meets the press releases. In any case, the 15 terrorists were all Saudi nationals, and that country took it's bin Laden family out, and refused inspection of its banking records. In any sane policy, they would have been made to tow the line, instead of Bush kissing their arses at a Crawford BBQ.
