. It is the people you raise doubts with that needed their confidence reinforced

That's an interesting phrase.

Can you expand on that?

Hello Paul;

Scott,
I think it would have been virtually impossible for Bush to move you a single inch. You threshold for proof is so high that it will never be met and your mistrust of Bush so complete that you will call it all a lie anyways. It is not you that I wish he had spoken to. It is the people you raise doubts with that needed their confidence reinforced.

Did this serve any useful purpose other than to characterize, and possibly marginalize, a fellow poster, something I continually discourage?

~OT~...The right wingers in this country are convinced Bush is on a moral crusade to protect the country and insure massive tax cuts...Yet, I would claim that most of us in 'the middle' are unconvinced that the President has developed the best plan for peace and prosperity.

btw, even some moderate republicans are concerned about things like the rush to war and environmental policies that have been very counter-productive in the last 2 years.
